Jhenaidah district is in south-western Bangladesh. It is part of Khulna division. This district was established in 1984. It has an area 1967.77 sq km. This district is surrounded by Kushtia district to the north, Jessore district and West Bengal (India) to the south, Rajbari district to the east, Magura district to the west and Chaudanga district as well as West Bengal (India) on the west.
