Joypurhat district is in northern Bangladesh. It is included to the Rajshahi division. On the north of this district are Dinajpur district, Naogaon district on the south, Bogra and Gaibandha district on the east, Bogra and Naogaon district and Indian region of west Bengal on the west. It has been turned into Bogra district in 1984. It has an area of 965.44 sq km. People of four religions live in this district for example Muslims, Hindu, Buddhists and Christians.
