Khulna is a district and also division of Bangladesh. It was established in 1984. It is the third largest district of Bangladesh. It has an area of 4394.46 sq km. Khulna district is surrounded by Jessore and Narail district on the north, Bay of Bengal on the south, Bagerhat district on the east and Satkhira district on the west. There are lived people of four religions in this district as Muslims, Hindus, Christian and Buddhist. 80% Muslims are lived in this district.

The Sunderbans are the historical and tourist place in this district. Sunderbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world. Every year, there are come many foreigners to see this natural beauty. Besides, the countrymen is also come to look at this beautiful place. As well, Siromoni, Gallamari, Birshrestho, Somadhi Sowdho, Shen hati, Bakul Tola, Raruli, Pithavog and Dokhin Dighi are also tourist spots in this district.
