Sunamganj district is in the Sylhet division in Bangladesh. It is Located in the north-eastern side of the country. On the south of this district are Habiganj and Kishoreganj district, Netrokona and greater Mymensingh district on the west. This district is the historical place because during the liberation period many encounters were held between the freedom fighters and the Pakistan army. On 6 December1971, it was liberated from Pakistan army.

Bagbari Tila Selbarash Jami Mosque, Sukhair Kalibari Temple, Kahala Kalibari, Maheshkhala Kalibari are the ancient historical place for the tourist. Besides, Maulvibazaar district have many tourist spots they are Laurer Goar, Hason Raja Jamidar Bari, Dolura Shahid Stambo etc.
